Chinley Churn and Cracken Edge
Location: Peak District
Distance: 6.9 km
This walk starts from Chinley (offstreet parking) and follows the path to Cracken Edge
The highest point is Chinley Churn 457 m
It is a circular walk, however if you are doing it in winter I would recommend returning the same way back from the Chinley Churn due to the rest of the path being very muddy.

Tom Ghyll Waterfalls, Tarn Hows Wood, Coniston
Location: Lake District
Distance: 11.4 km
This walk starts from Glen Mary car park, not too far from Tarn Hows. You can also start from National Trust car park at Tarn Hows. You will pass waterfalls and get to Tarn Hows. From there the path leads to Coniston through the woods and open fields. That path is very quiet and most likely you won't encounter anyone on the way. Coniston is a good stop to rest and have something to eat or drink. From there you will have around 25% walk left back to the car park.

Chee Dale Gorge
Location: Peak District
Distance: 8.1 km
This walk starts from a car park in Miller's Dale. This is a beautiful trail at the edge of Peak District National Park, taking you through the Chee Dale Gorge, a deep, picturesque gorge in the Upper Wye Valley. I would recommend doing this walk after a longer period of dry weather as the paths inside the george can be very muddy and stones very slippery. Please note that at times when the water level is particularly high, these stones may be flooded. Exercise caution and turn around if needed.

Ambleside and Troutbeck
Location: Lake District
Distance: 10.3 km
This walk starts from a pay and display car park off the main road in Ambleside. The trail runs clockwise so as to avoid descending and instead climb the steeper and more slippery side of Wansfell Pike, but if you wish to leave this big climb to the end it can be completed anti-clockwise with great care on this steep section. Walking from Ambleside you will reach the Skelghyll Wood and the waterfall. After that the path goes constantly uphil until you reach Wansfell Pike. You can admire amazing views from the top and start descending slowly as you continue along the path. When you reach Troutbeck you can stop at the pub or have something to eat or drink at the Old Post Office tea room.
